Epicor Eclipse Video Tip: How to set up work tickets in Epicor Eclipse

For many years, Zerion’s consultants have received questions from customers about how to set up a process for generating secondary tickets from the primary pick ticket. 

This might be useful in instances when you have secondary action that must be completed after a first action. That first – or primary – action is usually something that needs to be generated on the pick ticket in the main warehouse. But, for example, if you need someone to get a pipe from a different location as well as have a wire cut in yet another location, it’s best if the people working in those locations can get their own secondary tickets at their own printer locations. Eclipse and Solar are capable of easily accomplishing these tasks with just a few clicks.

​The secondary tickets are known as “work tickets,” and as noted above, they can be printed from a different printer than the printer that is generating the original pick ticket in your central warehouse location. All too often, Zerion consultants hear from frustrated Eclipse users that there are too many duplicate tickets floating around, and this method is a way in which that annoying problem can be overcome.

When users make duplicate tickets for the same order, not only do they have to enter them multiple times, but they also often need to generate physical copies to pass throughout your warehouse to multiple teams that will be involved in completing that order.
